The Blackstar Series One 104EL34 can go from ultra-clean to crushingly crunchy, giving you a ton of hands-on control to dial in the perfect sound. In fact, when you toggle between the bright and warm modes on the clean channel, the Series One 104EL34 actually reconfigures its preamp voicing and power amp damping, giving you bright and ringing Class A performance or that warm and crunchy Class AB sound.

 

You've also got crunch and super crunch modes to choose from on the Series One 104EL34. In crunch mode, you can go from just on the edge of clean breakup to totally thick, modern rhythm tones. In super crunch mode, the stops are out for maximum all-out crunch. You'll also appreciate the attention Blackstar paid to keeping your top-end intact when you do launch into your overdrive sounds.

On top of the flexible clean and crunch channels, the Blackstar Series One 104EL34 sports two more overdrive channels to cover maximum tonal territory. ISF tone control

Looking for even more tonal flexibility? Blackstar also gave the Series One 104EL34 their exclusive ISF control (ISF stands for Infinite Shape Feature). Using it in conjunction with your bass, middle, and treble controls, you can nail the exact tonal signature you want. When turned fully counterclockwise, you'll have more of an American characteristic to your voice, with a tight bottom end and an aggressive middle. Turned all the way to the right, you'll enjoy more of a British vibe, with a woodier sound that's less aggressive. However you dial in the Series One 104EL34 between the two, you'll enjoy a musical response that just asks to be taken onstage or into the studio.

Powerful MIDI capabilities

If you're the plug-and-play sort of guitarist, then you'll be right at home in front of the Series One 104EL34. But if you've got a mind for the high-tech, then you'll dig this mighty little combo, too. The Blackstar Series One 104EL34 supports MIDI channel switching, allowing you to simultaneously select an amp channel and change the patch on a MIDI effects processor you have connected to the effects loop. Very nice. It supports 128 program changes, so you can access a wide range of tonal combinations.

Dynamic Power Reduction

Last but not least, the Blackstar Series One 104EL34 has a convenient DPR (Dynamic Power Reduction) control. Grab the DPR and adjust the output power of the amp from 100 watts (100%) all the way down to 10 watts (10%) of the rated power. The control even adjusts the power amp compression, giving you a more playable feel when you're enjoying the comfortable listening levels of the reduced power settings.
