ID:Core V2 represents the culmination of more than nine years’ technical Research and Development. These amps have an intuitive control set like a traditional amp, but have the versatility of programmability. The unique controls allow you, the guitarist, to custom design your own sound. The unique and enhanced Voice control has six different channels – Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1, OD 2. When used together with Blackstar’s patented ISF control you can get the exact tone you’re thinking of. An envelope filter has been added to the effects section, delivering studio quality modulation, delay and reverb effects simultaneously that you can store with your sound.

These new ID:Core V2 products feature a newly re-voiced MP3/Line Input with Dynamic EQ for louder, richer music playback. Add to this, the inclusion of PreSonus’ renowned Digital Audio Workstation software Studio One, gives you all the tools at your disposal for ultimate creative autonomy.

Insider Software

Deeper editing for your ID:Series or ID:Core guitar amp.

Deep editing and storing of patches is simple using the Blackstar INSIDER software. Patches can be shared, uploaded and downloaded via the online community. The USB connector also allows you to record from your amp directly to your computer; new USB 2.0 functionality makes for easier recording and reamping, plus the ability to record just the preamp out for adding your own effects and cabinet emulation in the DAW/post-processing. An emulated output, MP3/line input and inbuilt panel-accessible tuner complete the package.

In addition to giving you visual control over your ID:Series and ID:Core amp, INSIDER is packed with handy features to help you improve your playing, including a built-in audio player for jamming along with your favourite MP3s and a ‘phrase trainer’ that lets you loop and time-stretch passages so you can nail those tricky chords and riffs!

The patented ISF control allows you to choose the exact tonal signature you prefer. Fully counter clockwise has a more American characteristic with a tight bottom end and more aggressive middle, and fully clockwise has a British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive. This leads to a very familiar, musical response.
