Review | : | 100%. really, for the price, you cant complain! writing this review cause I cant find any reviews on this guitar. I've been playing electric years for 3 years on my Ibanez gio grg121 (humbuckers) and wanted to try a single coiled guitar, so I decided to get a tele and got this in dec 2010. my TL30 doesn't have the headstock posted in the picture. it has the proper telecaster head. Maybe the new guitars have the proper head stock. 3-piece American alder 1-ply, 8 screws white pickguard. has a chrome vintage telecaster bridge, you can choose between toploader or string though! no need to drill holes into the bridge. great! I bought the natural colored one. There were some parts that hasn't been colored properly (near the strap button on the bottom) small aesthetic mistake, no worries. the clear is nice, very flat and shiny. Didn't have the belly cut contour and forearm contour, didn't really affect me comfortability wise. Sound wise- I was comparing the guitar's clean sound with my friends' Ibanez gios, Epiphone Black Beauty and washburn. This guitar sounded better than all of them! EVEN WITH ORIGINAL PICKUPS! and It does have the twang. when heavily distorted, it sounds pretty pretty decent. really, a lot of guitars sound the same when they're heavily distorted. overall really good guitar for beginners and for pros who want to try a telecaster without splashing out thousands for a fender.. it does what a guitar should do without too much aesthetics. could use some more colour variations though. planning to give it a paint job in a year or so. I play though a TS9DX, Big Muff w/ tone wicker and Vox VT30. really for the price, it's a fucking steal. GO GET IT |
