very high SPL use, the DM2.0 lends itself to a wide range of
mic’ing applications. The high sensitivity capsule picks up all of the
nuances of a performance, whilst the high energy neodyminium magnet provides
6dB of additional sensitivity/gain compared to other magnetic materials.

200mm woofer crossing over to a high quality 25mm fabric dome tweeter complete
with a ferrofluid cooled voice coil ensuring consistent and reliable long term
performance. The 2180 features 2 x 25mm tweeters, whilst the 3180 has 2 x 25mm
tweeters as well as 2 x 200mm woofers. Exclusive to Wharfedale, the 80 Series
features the ‘Baker Effect’ - by mounting two hf drive units perpindicular to
each other and carefully contouring the crossover network, a dramatic stereo
effect can be produced in almost any listening position.
